The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) has launched the Master in Data Analytics (MDA) program, the first of its kind in the Philippines. This new offering, starting on Aug. 30, 2024, aims to address the growing demand for data professionals across various industries.
The Analytics Association of the Philippines (AAP) estimates that by 2028, the country will require 500,000 analytics professionals, particularly in the IT sector. Recognizing this need, AIM has developed an 18-month, part-time, hybrid program designed to equip professionals with essential data skills. The curriculum focuses on data collection, analysis, interpretation, and visualization, blending theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world applications.
“The business landscape is rapidly evolving. Leaders who can harness the power of data and AI will undoubtedly shape the future,” said Prof. Corinne Burgos, PhD, Academic Program Director at AIM. The program allows working professionals to integrate their studies with their careers, ensuring they can apply what they learn in real time.
Graduates of the MDA program are expected to emerge as data-driven leaders, capable of making informed decisions and contributing to organizational growth. The program emphasizes not just technical proficiency but also strong business acumen, preparing students to communicate insights effectively.
Applications for the April 2025 intake will open soon.
