Ant International has introduced Alipay+ Voyager, an artificial intelligence-powered travel companion integrated into digital wallets and super apps. The tool aims to simplify and improve travel planning and in-destination services for users worldwide.
Alipay+ Voyager, accessible through a single interface in participating e-wallets and super apps, allows travelers to plan, book, and pay for itineraries and local services using text or voice in their own language. It supports tasks such as booking flights and hotels, arranging transportation, and purchasing local experiences, all within the familiar wallet app.
“By integrating a proactive, always-on AI travel companion within digital wallets that consumers already use frequently, we’re empowering travel and wallet partners with new opportunities to engage travellers in a more relevant, personalised way, through every step of their journey,” said Douglas Feagin, president of Ant International.
Launched in partnership with Agoda, Fliggy, and Trip.com, Alipay+ Voyager combines Ant International’s Agentic AI with a broad network of online travel agencies and more than 100 million merchants in the Alipay+ partner ecosystem.
Alipay+ Voyager was introduced earlier this year on Alipay (Chinese mainland), AlipayHK (Hong Kong), and GCash (Philippines) in time for the summer travel season. Ant International plans to expand the service to more Alipay+ payment partners in 2025.
According to the company, Alipay+ Voyager offers several key features, including end-to-end travel assistance from a single hub, real-time global-to-local service integration, and proactive recommendations based on individual preferences and real-time events like flight delays or weather disruptions.
The platform also serves as a growth opportunity for merchants and online travel agencies by providing access to multiple markets through deployment across major regional and global e-wallets.
