Ant International has appointed Jiang-Ming Yang as its chief innovation officer, assigning him to lead the company’s product and technology teams. He will also head the CIO Organisation, which oversees Ant International’s global innovation and product strategy.
Yang, formerly the company’s chief product officer, has worked on financial technology and growth tech solutions that align with Ant International’s business pillars, including digital payments, merchant services, SME accounts, and financial solutions.
“Ant International will continue to invest at the frontier of innovation to help businesses, especially SMEs, achieve sustainable growth in an increasingly complex global environment,” Yang said.
The announcement follows strategic upgrades made in December 2024 by Ant International’s CEO, Peng Yang, to strengthen its AI-driven financial technology solutions for businesses. The company aims to support SMEs across its payment and digital ecosystem.
He has led the development of AI-powered solutions such as A+ Rewards by Antom, a digital marketing tool designed to increase global payment user growth. Another project, Antom Copilot, has shortened the time needed for merchants to integrate payments from up to 10 days to just minutes.
Yang has also worked on Antom EasySafePay, which simplifies digital wallet transactions, and a foreign exchange model that predicts currency needs with 90% accuracy. Additionally, he played a role in creating the Whale Platform, a treasury management solution that improves fund movement efficiency using blockchain and AI.
“Top on our list of priorities will be to push the cost and efficiency boundary for cross-border payment and settlement; to democratize cutting-edge technology solutions for SMEs on payment, trade, and financial services; and to revolutionize user experience with new intelligent technology for cross-border travel,” Yang said.
