Online job hunting platform Jobstreet held a virtual career fair last month in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Of the more than 89,000 participants, 58,000 sent job applications, which is a 387% increase from its previous career fairs.
“JobStreet’s mission, on top of bringing hope and opportunities to as many job seekers as possible, is to empower the Filipino and to allow them to have the freedom and flexibility to choose the right career path that fits their wants and needs,” Philip Gioca, country manager, JobStreet Philippines, said in a media advisory.
Gioca said Jobstreet will be holding similar initiatives in an effort to “strengthen the Philippines’ labor market.”
