Araneta bus terminal now uses PayMaya for ticket purchases

Araneta City Bus Port, the first integrated bus terminal in the Philippines now implements a QR- and card-based ticketing payment system powered by digital financial services company PayMaya.

Commuters can conveniently book their tickets online ahead of time from the comforts of their homes by visiting http://www.aranetacitybusport.com, where they can pay using any Visa, Mastercard, or JCB credit, debit, or prepaid cards through the PayMaya Checkout payment gateway.

Aside from visiting the website, they can also download the newly launched Araneta City mobile app available for iOS and Android phones, where they can also book their trips and pay for their bus tickets anytime, anywhere.

Those who want to avail themselves of their tickets at the bus port can pay using any payment card at the cashier through the PayMaya Touch mobile POS terminal, as well as using their PayMaya accounts by scanning to pay with PayMaya QR.

Since launching in mid-2018, more Filipinos have enjoyed the safety and convenience of booking their bus tickets at the Araneta City Bus Port through cashless means, with transaction volumes across the different digital payment channels growing close to 200% in June 2019 compared with the same period last year.
