Ateneo de Manila University has partnered with Maya, a digital bank, to introduce a new, technologically advanced ID card. This Maya-powered ID card is designed to enhance security and facilitate cashless transactions for the university community, including students, faculty, and staff.

The new ID card features a sleek design and an embedded RFID chip, allowing seamless access to various campus facilities. This card aims to provide not only convenience and security but also a comprehensive cashless payment system integrated with the Maya app. Users can now make secure payments across the campus and at nearby off-campus establishments.

This initiative is part of Maya’s broader strategy to integrate digital solutions into educational institutions, having previously established similar partnerships with UP-Diliman in 2019 and UP-Cebu in 2023. Through these collaborations, Maya is hoping to reshape the educational landscape by promoting modern, efficient, and secure campus environments across the Philippines.

The Maya app linked to the ID card also offers additional features, including exclusive promotions, purchase load, pay bills, and access financial services such as opening savings accounts and investing in funds and stocks. This move marks a significant step towards a fully digital and cashless campus experience.
