Canva, an all-in-one visual communication platform, has made Canva Education available to all Department of Education (DepEd) teachers, learners, and staff with a valid DepEd email address.

This follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Canva and DepEd in October 2024. Since then, thousands of public school teachers have used the platform to create learning materials and develop students’ visual communication skills.

With the nationwide rollout, every K–12 teacher and student can now access Canva Education for free, just in time for the opening of the school year. The platform offers creative tools, templates, and collaboration features designed for classrooms.

“Visual communication is quickly becoming a critical skill for the future workforce,” said Maisie Littaua, country manager of Canva Philippines. “With this full rollout, we’re equipping Filipino educators and learners with powerful tools to make learning more engaging, collaborative, and effective, while preparing them for the world ahead.”

Canva Education includes thousands of templates, real-time collaboration, content planning tools, and integrations with platforms such as Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams. It is designed to be safe and accessible, providing a secure and age-appropriate digital space for users.

“By starting with the Philippines, we’re taking a meaningful step toward equipping the next generation with intuitive, inclusive, and accessible visual communication tools,” said Yani Hornilla-Donato, regional lead for Southeast Asia at Canva.

K–12 teachers, staff, and learners can unlock their free access by signing up or logging in at canva.com using their DepEd-issued email addresses.
