Chevron Philippines, marketer of Caltex fuel and lubricants, has teamed up again with education technology platform Edukasyon.ph to support a second group of Filipino scholars under the Amazon Web Services (AWS) re/Start program. The program helps unemployed and underemployed individuals gain cloud computing skills and prepare for entry-level technology jobs.
Fifty students completed the 9- to 12-week training in April 2025. Aside from technical skills, they also learned workplace behaviors and job readiness. The program is designed to help participants find jobs and support their families through new careers in the cloud industry.
“This program has created a full circle of education and gives everybody a second chance if they had to stop for a while,” said Raissa Bautista, senior corporate advisor at Chevron Philippines. “I am also fascinated with the age of digitization because I think it’s really the future. I know the possibilities are limitless, so just spread your wings and good luck.”

An exclusive career fair followed the graduation, connecting the scholars to employers such as Chevron, Bayad Center, Kuehne Nagel, Stratpoint, Boss Jobs, Promotexter, Software One, ECloud Valley, Absi, and Maverick.
