Cisco has introduced a series of new technologies to help organizations adapt to the demands of artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on security, efficiency, and digital resilience.
At its annual Cisco Live event, the tech company presented innovations across networking, security, and data management to support the “Agentic AI” era, a phase where AI systems perform tasks proactively and independently.
“We’re witnessing an unprecedented surge in innovation as organizations embrace agentic AI to automate workflows and solve complex problems,” said Jeetu Patel, president and chief product officer, Cisco.
Among the highlights was Cisco’s push to modernize workplaces with AI-ready infrastructure. The company launched new network devices for campuses, branches, and industrial sites, along with an AI-powered platform for managing networks proactively. Cisco also introduced the Room Vision PTZ camera to enhance meeting experiences and new tools like Jira Workflow Automation and the Webex AI Agent to streamline collaboration and customer service.
Cisco also showcased its AgenticOps solutions to simplify operations. These include the Cisco AI Canvas, a generative user interface that promotes real-time collaboration between network and security teams, and the Cisco AI Assistant, which offers conversational controls across the suite. Both are supported by the Deep Network Model, a specialized large language model trained on Cisco’s own resources.
To support data centers, Cisco revealed upgrades to its computing and network solutions to handle high-bandwidth, low-latency AI workloads. The company also announced it is joining the EPRI Open Power AI Consortium to help strengthen the power grid through AI. New features for service providers aim to support and monetize emerging AI services.
Cisco introduced new capabilities in its Hybrid Mesh Firewall and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) offerings. Two new firewall series (the 6100 and 200) aim to deliver secure, high-performance protection. Updates to the Cisco Security Cloud were also announced to better address AI-related risks.
For digital resilience, Cisco deepened integrations with Splunk, enhancing visibility and performance insights through the Splunk Observability Cloud, AppDynamics, and Cisco ThousandEyes.
Cisco previewed Cisco Cloud Control, a unified platform designed to manage networking, security, and observability tools with built-in AI features like the AI Assistant and AI Canvas, offering IT teams a more integrated and intelligent control system.
