Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc. (Converge) reported a 13.2% increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2025, reaching ₱10.8 billion. The growth came from rising demand across both residential and enterprise services.
Converge’s residential business earned ₱9.1 billion from January to March, an 11.5% increase from the same period last year. By the end of March 2025, Converge had 2,701,336 residential subscribers. This total includes 2,340,208 postpaid and 361,128 prepaid users.
Converge’s core plans continued to attract new customers. Its FiberX product remained popular, while the BIDA Fiber and Surf2Sawa offerings posted net additions of 24,102 and 70,497 subscribers, respectively, in the first three months of 2025.
On the enterprise side, revenue increased by 22.9% year over year to ₱1.7 billion. All subsegments showed double-digit growth, with the Wholesale subsegment rising 54.0% due to new customer sign-ups and service improvements.
Ongoing expansion and upgrades
Fiber port utilization stood at 34.4% as of March, leaving about 5.4 million ports still available for service. The company spent ₱2.6 billion in cash capital expenditures in the quarter for expansion and redundancy projects.
This included the deployment of more than 35,000 fiber ports and the installation of over 60 kilometers of fiber backbone. Turnover of these projects is scheduled to take place in the third and fourth quarters of 2025.
