Technology company Dell Technologies is bracing for the significant growth of the use of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly Generative AI, across industries.
In a virtual media briefing, Dell emphasized how AI technology is propelling fundamental changes in the pace of innovation, enhancing customer experiences, and facilitating substantial productivity gains.
“While we have seen many innovative technologies over the years, none have fundamentally changed the productivity of an enterprise at that same level as AI,” said John Roese, global chief technology officer, Dell Technologies.

AI challenges
GenAI has made AI more accessible to organizations and by leveraging this technology they can deliver personalized customer experiences and gain a competitive edge. However, GenAI also poses challenges, such as privacy requirements, intellectual property protection, and compliance with security controls.
“At Dell, our primary focus is on private GenAI solutions, which involve the direct application of AI to core enterprise datasets to enhance process capability, productivity, and efficiency,” Roese said.
The growth opportunities of AI in the Asia Pacific region is evidenced by the increase in investments in the AI systems.
“We are thrilled to witness the rising momentum of customer interest in our GenAI solutions in the APJ region, spanning sectors such as finance, advertising, cloud services, telecommunications, web technologies, and manufacturing,” said Peter Marrs, President, Asia Pacific and Japan, Dell Technologies.
