The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and finance app GCash have joined forces to help Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families achieve financial independence.

At the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan in Tarlac City, the two organizations provided services such as pre-employment seminars, legal assistance, and reintegration support.

To promote financial literacy, GCash offers a program to teach OFWs how to maximize their earnings and save for the future. This initiative hopes to ensure OFWs can manage their finances effectively and eventually return home with financial security.

GCash also introduced its suite of services designed specifically for OFWs. These include secure money transfers, savings accounts, insurance, and investment options, all accessible through the GCash app. The app allows OFWs to send money home instantly with low fees and competitive exchange rates.

GCash services are available in several countries, including the United States, Canada, the UK, and several Asian nations, allowing OFWs to access fintech solutions wherever they are. This partnership aims to promote financial wellness and support OFWs in building a secure financial future.
