DITO Telecommunity has secured back-to-back international recognition for mobile network performance, earning top honors from global analytics firms Ookla and Opensignal at the 2026 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The Philippine telco was named the No. 1 Rated Mobile Network in the Philippines by Ookla, based on Speedtest user data, and also received the Fastest Mobile Network award from Opensignal, which measures real-world mobile experience such as download speeds, video streaming quality, and network consistency.

“These recognitions are not just about awards. They reflect the role DITO plays in shaping a more connected Philippines. Every day, our network helps bridge communities, enable opportunities, and empower Filipinos to participate fully in the digital future,” said Eric Alberto, chief executive officer of DITO Telecommunity.

Both awards are widely used benchmarks in the telecom industry, relying on millions of real user tests.

The latest recognition adds to DITO’s growing list of international awards and signals its continued push to compete with long-established mobile operators in the Philippines. The company has been expanding its network footprint nationwide while investing heavily in 5G Standalone (SA) technology, which allows faster speeds, lower latency, and improved capacity for mobile users.

At the 2026 Mobile World Congress, one of the world’s largest telecom industry gatherings, DITO highlighted its focus on strengthening digital connectivity across the country as demand for mobile data continues to grow.

“What makes these awards meaningful is that they are based on independent, real-world measurements from global benchmarks like Opensignal and Ookla,” said Atty. Adel Tamano, chief commercial officer of DITO Telecommunity. “They confirm that our network is performing consistently and delivering a foundation that can support the country’s growing digital needs.”

DITO’s continued recognition from both Ookla and Opensignal underscores its stronger position in the Philippine telecom market, where competition remains intense as operators race to expand coverage and improve mobile internet quality.
