Telecommunications company Eastern Communications has partnered with Nexusguard, a global provider of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation and cybersecurity solutions, to strengthen protection against online threats in the Philippines.
The collaboration combines Nexusguard’s in cloud-based DDoS protection and managed security services with Eastern Communications’ local infrastructure and market presence. The two firms aim to provide cybersecurity solutions for enterprises, government agencies, and service providers in the country.

As part of the partnership, Eastern Communications introduced the DDoS-Protected Eastern IDS (Internet Direct Service), a dedicated high-speed internet service built for business operations. Powered by fiber-leased line technology and equipped with advanced DDoS protection, the service offers symmetrical upload and download speeds of up to 10 Gbps. With access to a resilient global internet backbone, it aims to support productivity while protecting businesses from costly cyber disruptions.
