Epson Philippines highlighted its ongoing commitment to sustainability and community impact during its annual media event, Fusion 16, held at Misibis Bay Resort in Albay.
With the theme “Ecosynergy,” the company showcased how innovation can align with shared values, especially those focused on the environment.
“EcoSynergy reflects the idea that real progress happens when innovation moves in step with shared purpose,” said Masako Kusama, president and director of Epson Philippines Corp. “It’s how Epson brings people, technology, and sustainability together.”
Epson’s environmental efforts include the shift to 100% renewable electricity at all of its global sites. At Fusion 16, Kusama reaffirmed the company’s direction.
“Engineered for Good guides how we design, how we build, and how we operate every day,” she said. “We focus on reducing energy use, extending product life, and choosing materials that are safer for the environment.”

Epson aims to achieve carbon-negative operations by 2050. This includes using only renewable energy in all its locations, such as its largest manufacturing site in Batangas, Philippines.
The event also spotlighted Epson’s community initiatives, such as the ICLEAN Project in Monreal, Ticao Island, in partnership with WWF-Philippines. The project helped improve local waste management and supported the production of eco-bricks using a plastic shredder donated by the company.
“These eco-bricks each contain about 500 grams of plastic that might otherwise pollute marine environments,” said EJ Sulit, sustainability champion at Epson Philippines. “The municipality now produces over 300 bricks monthly, showing how localized innovation can drive real change.”

Epson reported consistent double-digit growth across eight product lines despite global challenges. The company said it remains focused on helping businesses operate smarter and more sustainably.

Upcoming plans include regional holograms to fight counterfeits inks, expanded warranty coverage under its CoverPlus program, and new solutions for education and self-service systems. Large-format printers for textiles and signage were also showcased.
At Fusion 16, participants took part in team games that promoted critical thinking and cooperation. The event served as a platform to celebrate shared achievements while strengthening connections among media partners.
