Epson introduces two new models, L3550 and L5590, to its EcoTank series, catering to small businesses and home users seeking enhanced print productivity and efficiency.
The Epson L3550 and L5590 EcoTank printers are designed for premium performance, amplified print speed and endurance. Sporting an improved PrecisionCore Print Head, these printers offer faster printing speeds of 15/8 ipm for black/color, surpassing previous EcoTank models.
“Building upon the specs of previous EcoTank models, while also incorporating updated features, this new series of EcoTank printers aims to be a high-speed all-in-one printing solution for both business and home printing needs” said Noelle Gonzalez, head of Marketing Division at Epson Philippines.

The L3550 and L5590 promise increased durability and a longer product life, featuring warranty coverage of up to 50,000 pages or 2 years, a notable upgrade from earlier iterations.

“Epson prioritizes sustainability with these new additions,” the company noted. “Employing Epson Heat-Free technology reduces power consumption compared to laser printers, while utilizing 30% recycled plastic in their hardware and producing 84% fewer consumables than ink cartridge printers. Packaging is over 80% recycled cardboard, significantly reducing their carbon footprint.”
The new additions to the EcoTank printer series are designed with sustainability in mind. It is powered by Epson Heat-Free technology which uses less power than laser technology as heat is not required in the printing process. The hardware of these printers is made from 30% recycled plastic, and they utilize 84% less consumables compared to ink cartridge printers, with the packaging comprising over 80% recycled cardboard. These result in significantly reduced carbon footprint being generated by the printers, a testament to Epson’s focus on sustainability.
Enhancements in design include a replaceable maintenance box, reducing downtime for users by enabling hassle-free replacements without visiting a service center.
The user interface of the L3550 is user-friendly, offering options for various media sizes like standard, photo, or envelope through its navigable panel. Its connectivity features, including Airprint, Mopria, and Epson Smart Panel, enable seamless printing experiences. Epson’s Smart Panel App allows direct access to functions like remote printer control, monitoring ink levels, and printing, scanning, and copying.
