Epson has introduced its latest A4 document scanners, the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN, designed to help businesses improve efficiency with faster and more flexible scanning solutions.
Both models can scan up to 30 pages per minute with the automatic document feeder (ADF) and up to 7 seconds per page using the flatbed. The 60-sheet ADF is made for high-volume scanning, while the flatbed supports delicate or thick items. The DS-1760WN also features a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen and allows PC-less operation.
“The WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN exemplify our commitment to innovation, delivering compact, high-performance scanning technology that optimizes workflows while reducing environmental impact,” said Noelle Gonzalez, head of marketing at Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC).
The scanners can handle a wide range of documents, from mixed-size and long pages to photos, ID cards, and booklets. They also come with one-pass duplex scanning, text enhancement, edge correction, and punch hole removal for improved quality. Users can combine scans from both the ADF and flatbed into a single file.
To help maintain output quality, both models feature glass dirt detection, which alerts users to smudges that may affect scanned images. They can also detect and crop multiple items in a single scan.
With Document Capture Pro, users can automate up to 30 scan jobs, convert files into searchable PDFs or editable Office documents with optical character recognition (OCR), and send scanned outputs directly to cloud storage, email, or network folders. Barcode and Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) recognition are also supported.
The DS-1760WN adds productivity features through ScanWay, which enables direct scanning to cloud, email, USB drives, or network folders without a computer.
Epson said both models use up to 30% recycled plastics, supporting its efforts to design products with reduced environmental impact.
