A report from Sunpower Consulting Group showed that TCL Fresh Air air conditioners ranked first in global sales in 2024. The company’s FreshIN series contributed largely to this growth, strengthening TCL’s position in the fresh air AC market.
TCL started focusing on fresh air technology in 2021 with the rollout of its Global Fresh Air Strategy. Since then, it has introduced several models, including the FreshIN 3.0 in 2023 and the fifth-generation FreshIN C7 in 2024. These products highlight features such as continuous fresh air circulation, reduced noise levels, and energy-saving functions.
The FreshIN 3.0, for example, supports AI voice control, adjusts operation based on indoor and outdoor conditions, and is designed to lower energy use by more than 30%. It also includes a noise reduction system and airflow controls to improve comfort.
Industry recognition has followed. At CES 2025, the FreshIN 3.0 received the Smart Fresh Air Technology Innovation Award.
TCL’s international business expansion has also helped drive its growth. Between January and December 2024, the company ranked first in air conditioner export volume in the Philippines, Panama, Algeria, and Ukraine. Overseas sales now account for 65% of TCL’s total.
The company operates 11 production bases in China, Indonesia, and Brazil, with an annual capacity of more than 38 million units. Its air conditioners are sold in over 160 markets.
With more than 20 million units sold annually, TCL is among the top three domestic air conditioner brands and top two exporters globally. Its research and development team continues to work on areas such as energy-saving algorithms, noise reduction, and high-efficiency cooling, aiming to address rising demand for smart and health-focused air solutions.
