Samsung has announced Galaxy A27 5G, a mid-range smartphone that brings more AI-powered features, improved performance, and longer software support to more users.
The successor to the Galaxy A26 5G focuses on making everyday smartphone tasks easier, with tools for searching, editing photos, translating conversations, and managing phone features using natural language.
Samsung upgraded Circle to Search with Google on the Galaxy A27 5G, allowing users to search multiple objects in a single image. Users can also virtually try on outfits from search results, making it easier to explore styles without leaving the phone.
The smartphone also improves photo editing with Object Eraser, which helps remove unwanted elements from images with more natural-looking results. Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app can now translate while transcribing, supporting 22 languages for easier note-taking during meetings or conversations.
Galaxy A27 5G supports AI assistants including Google Gemini and Perplexity, while Samsung added deeper AI integration across Galaxy apps such as Gallery. It also supports Bixby as a conversational device agent, allowing users to control settings and features through voice commands.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, designed to improve responsiveness when switching between apps, multitasking, gaming, and streaming. Samsung said upgraded graphics performance and faster memory help deliver smoother daily use and better power efficiency.
For photography, Galaxy A27 5G features a 12MP front camera designed to capture wider brightness ranges and more natural colors for selfies. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), helping reduce blur when taking photos.
Samsung is also extending the phone’s usable life with up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, plus up to six years of security updates from the initial global launch date. The smartphone is protected by Samsung Knox and Knox Vault, which provide hardware-based security for sensitive information.
Galaxy A27 5G will be available in the Philippines starting July 10 through Samsung.com, Samsung Experience and Authorized Stores, and Samsung Flagship stores on Lazada and Shopee. It will come in Black, Blue, and Light Pink.
