GCash, a mobile wallet service, has expanded its reach by launching in South Korea. With GCash, travelers can now use the service at Alipay+ merchants without worrying about exchanging currencies. Alipay+ has over a million partners in Asia, including Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Qatar, and now South Korea.

To use GCash, simply log in to the app and select the QR or PayQR button at the bottom of the screen. Scan the merchant’s QR code or have the merchant scan your generated QR by tapping “Pay Abroad with Alipay+.” Confirm the amount and click Pay to receive a receipt. With GCash, there’s no need to carry large sums of cash when traveling, and users can enjoy deals and discounts at various locations.

To learn more about using GCash in South Korea, visit the “A+ Rewards” page in the app and select South Korea as your destination. GCash is accepted at popular stores such as Lotte Duty-Free, Shinsegae Duty-Free, Line Friends Flagship Store, and Hai Di Lao, among others.
