Globe At Home GFiber Prepaid now has 1 million subscribers in the Philippines, as more households switch to prepaid fiber internet that does not require long-term contracts.
The company said subscriptions grew 15% quarter-on-quarter, driven by demand for more affordable home internet as families try to manage rising daily expenses. Instead of paying monthly bills, users can simply load internet when they need it.
GFiber Prepaid works on a no lock-in setup, which means users are not tied to long contracts. It also supports up to 15 connected devices in one home, making it usable for online classes, remote work, video streaming, and small online businesses.
“GFiber Prepaid has become a trusted everyday partner at home. It is a reliable WiFi that adapts to real household needs, without long-term lock-ins. As we continue to grow this segment, we remain committed to deliver dependable service, accessible offers, and customer-first support that keeps families connected every day,” said Abigail Cardino, vice president and head of Brand Management, Broadband Business at Globe.
Many users are also spending more over time by reloading higher-value promos, which helped support growth in the prepaid fiber segment. The company added it is focusing on expanding where demand is strong instead of spreading coverage too thin.
GFiber Prepaid can be installed in as fast as 24 hours. Support is available through the GlobeOne app, Alagang Globe Viber groups, and Globe Care-avan field support.
To attract more users, Globe is offering promos such as 300 Mbps for ₱699 installation fee, which includes seven days of unlimited internet. Another option gives 100 Mbps for 30 days at ₱999 with free installation, aimed at households looking for cheaper but reliable home internet.
