Mobile coverage of telecommunications company Globe now reaches 96.33% of the Philippine population as of November 2025, according to the company, as it continues to expand its network.

About 4 million people, or 3.67% of the population, still live in areas with little or no mobile signal. These areas are mostly geographically isolated and far-flung communities. Globe said it plans to reduce this gap by activating new sites, upgrading existing ones, and working with national and local government units to speed up deployment.

“Connectivity has become a basic need. For those still waiting to be reached, it’s a lifeline that opens doors to work, learning, financial access, and public services,” Carl Cruz, president and CEO of Globe, said. “We’re committed to supporting the government’s Konektadong Pinoy agenda and are actively working to close the last remaining coverage gaps. We believe that by coming together, we can make universal digital access a reality.”

The company has identified towns where less than half of the local population has mobile coverage. These areas are being prioritized based on feasibility, expected impact, and coordination with government agencies. Many are island municipalities or remote mountain areas that require specific technical solutions.

Globe said the wider network supports its mobile data business, which posted ₱25.2 billion in revenues in the third quarter of 2025. The company serves 63.1 million mobile subscribers nationwide, with mobile data contributing 86% of total mobile service revenues. Ongoing investments include more than a thousand new cell sites and continued 5G upgrades.

Globe said it will continue working with the Department of Information and Communications Technology, the National Telecommunications Commission, local government units, and development partners to extend mobile access and ensure that more communities are connected.
