Google has announced updates to its Gemini AI, introducing two key features — Gems and Imagen 3 — designed to improve user experience across multiple domains.

The new Gems feature allows Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise users to create customized AI assistants tailored to specific tasks. These virtual experts, called Gems, provide help on a range of topics, including coding, career advice, and more. Some of the premade Gems include:

  • Learning Coach: Simplifies complex topics for easier understanding.
  • Brainstormer: Offers creative ideas for events or gifts.
  • Career Guide: Assists in setting and achieving career goals.
  • Writing Editor: Provides constructive feedback on writing projects.
  • Coding Partner: Helps users improve coding skills and complete projects.

Google has also introduced Imagen 3, an advanced image generation tool. Imagen 3 allows users to generate high-quality, customizable images using text prompts. Available across Gemini, Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise plans, Imagen 3 ensures responsible use by incorporating SynthID, a watermarking tool for AI-generated images. Google restricts the generation of realistic, identifiable individuals and certain sensitive content to maintain ethical standards.

Early-access users will continue to provide feedback as Google gradually expands these features to more users worldwide.
