Google has introduced Gemini Storybook, a new feature in the Gemini app that allows parents and children to create customized, interactive storybooks using text and image prompts.

The tool uses generative AI to transform photos, children’s drawings, and short descriptions into 10-page stories with unique illustrations. Users can also add optional audio narration.

Google said Gemini Storybook is designed not only for entertainment but also as a way for parents to support their children’s learning and emotional growth. For example, parents can create stories to help explain life skills such as potty training or to guide children through social challenges, using familiar characters like a favorite stuffed toy.

Another feature is its multilingual support. Stories can be made in more than 45 languages available on the Gemini app, which could benefit multilingual households and those studying a new language.

Gemini Storybook is now available within the Gemini app, with an interface that Google described as simple to use for all ages.
