Grab Philippines and motorcycle taxi platform MOVE IT are teaming up with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to roll out #RideToVote, a two-part campaign focused on voter education and transportation ahead of the midterm elections on May 12.

The campaign aims to inform Filipinos about voting procedures through Grab’s app, social media, and influencer channels. Information includes checklists for election day, valid IDs, and general voting reminders.

“Through this partnership with Comelec, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting the Filipino people not only in their everyday journeys, but also in their collective journey toward a more inclusive and prosperous future,” said Ronald Roda, country head, Grab Philippines.

The second phase tackles transport accessibility. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day, voters using GrabCar can get ₱50 off with the promo code RIDETOVOTE. MOVE IT users can enter BOTONAMI from May 10 to 12 for ₱20 off on motorcycle taxi rides.

To make booking easier, Grab will place assistance booths in 10 busy voting centers in Metro Manila and Cebu. Staffed by trained ambassadors, these stations will help voters book discounted rides safely and quickly.

Support for seniors, PWDs, and pregnant voters

To help vulnerable groups, Comelec is also introducing Early Voting Hours from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. Senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant voters will have priority during this window.

Grab will offer free rides to eligible senior citizens and PWDs registered on its platform. They will receive a promo code through the app to claim the ride.

“Through this initiative, we are sending a clear message: every Filipino voice matters, and we are fully committed to making the voting experience more accessible, inclusive, and truly empowering,” said Comelec Chair George Erwin Garcia.
