Greentech Ecobooster emerged as the top winner of the Shell LiveWire 2025 Final Pitch Day, held in September during Echelon Philippines 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay. The startup received ₱1 million in equity-free funding from Shell Pilipinas Corp. (SPC).

The winning project, Greentech Ecobooster, is a fuel-optimization device that improves combustion-engine performance while reducing fuel use and greenhouse-gas emissions. During the program, the startup showcased its work with tricycle drivers in Parañaque, where the device helped lower daily fuel costs and improve efficiency.

“Shell LiveWire has provided a great platform for us to sharpen our vision and further develop our product, starting with tricycle drivers and ultimately expanding its benefits on a larger scale,” said Rowena Bernardo, co-founder for systems and communication of Greentech Ecobooster. “Our goal is to improve fuel combustion in engines and boost overall performance for a world chasing energy efficiency.”

Other finalists Agridom and Pili AdheSeal Inc. each received ₱500,000 for their projects, which featured innovations in smart agriculture and sustainable construction materials. Their participation reflected the range of solutions developed by Filipino entrepreneurs to address local challenges and create scalable impact.

Shell LiveWire, which marks its 40th year globally and was launched in the Philippines in 2020, supports startups that promote innovation and sustainable energy solutions. The program provides mentorship, funding, and expert guidance to help startups strengthen their business models.

Since its inception, Shell LiveWire Philippines has supported more than 180 businesses, creating over 900 jobs, with 80% of these startups sustaining operations beyond two years. Five Philippine startups have been recognized in the Global Top Ten Innovators, while 16 have joined Shell’s supply chain.

“Guided by PSFI’s principle of sama-samang pagtulong, sabay-sabay na pagsulong, Shell LiveWire aims to build a strong community of innovators driving the country’s transition toward a more inclusive and sustainable economy,” said Baste Quiñones, executive director of Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. (PSFI).
