HONOR X9b 5G displays durability in rigorous challenges

To emphasize that the new HONOR X9b 5G is as tough as it is claimed to be, HONOR Philippines put it to a series of extreme tests.

HONOR X9b 5G was dropped from 50 feet and even survived being run over by a Hummer. Despite the battering, these phones emerged unscathed and fully functional.

“HONOR X9b 5G has been proven durable as the device was carefully studied and has undergone three tempering processes and we are sure that it can surpass the success of its predecessor. Advice for the public though, while we are confident that it will survive intense pressure, intentional dropping and smashing might still cause physical damage to the phone,” said Stephen Cheng, VP at HONOR Philippines.

Pushing the boundaries further, the HONOR X9b 5G faced an intense smash test, challenging participants to shatter as many thick tiles as possible within 30 seconds. It remained resilient in competitive paintball, sparring, and archery contests, showcasing its ultra-tough display. 

At the upcoming Jan. 12 launch, which will be live-streamed here at 7 p.m., HONOR Philippines plans to subject the new phone to a daring 100 ft drop.
