This 2023, the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), in collaboration with Great Place To Work® Philippines, will publish the inaugural List of Philippines Best Workplaces in IT-BPM. This list will recognize high-trust workplaces within IT-BPM and showcase why it is one of the country’s most vibrant and dynamic sectors.
With the vision to generate 1.1 million new jobs and become the world’s No. 1 experience hub by the conclusion of IBPAP’s Philippine IT-BPM Industry Roadmap 2028, the next six years are gearing to be a challenging but exciting period for the sector.
“Together with our stakeholders, IBPAP is setting out to reinforce the IT-BPM industry’s role as an indispensable pillar of the economy through sustained job creation and foreign exchange inflows while striving towards making the Philippines a world capital in IT-BPM services,” said Jack Madrid, president and CEO, IBPAP. “In parallel, we also want to celebrate everything that we’ve accomplished, elicit pride in those who’ve helped us reach this point, and encourage others to become part of the sector.”
IT-BPM revenue to reach $59 billion by 2028
Philippine IT-BPM sector aims to create 1.1 million jobs
This milestone collaboration with the global authority on workplace culture will highlight the reasons why the IT-BPM industry grew to become the Philippines’ biggest private-sector employer with 1.44 million full-time employees (FTEs) as of 2021. It aims to bring awareness to the diverse and inclusive workplace culture within the sector, making it a career option of choice and a source of pride and inspiration for many Filipinos.
Having published the official List of 25 Best Small, Medium, and Large Workplaces in the country just earlier this year, the Best Workplaces in IT-BPM List will be the first industry List published by Great Place To Work Philippines, thus recognizing that healthy IT-BPM workplaces exist and can be built with trust, camaraderie, and pride.
“Great Place To Work has the ambitious mission of building a better world by creating great places to work For All™. We are happy about this collaboration with IBPAP because it gives us the opportunity to advance our mission and to positively impact the industry that houses the biggest number of Filipino talents, which plays a major role in the country’s growth and development,” said Antoniette Mendoza-Talosig, Managing Partner of Great Place To Work Philippines. “We look forward to awarding the industry players and leaders who have built high-trust workplace cultures through our Best Workplaces List; an accolade acknowledged worldwide as the gold standard of recognition.”
