Kollab, a digital transformation company, has acquired Senti AI, the Philippines’ first artificial intelligence (AI) firm. The move is part of Kollab’s strategy to promote AI adoption across the country, enhancing its solutions portfolio for businesses.

Senti AI, known for its AI expertise, was the first Philippine company to earn the Google Cloud Machine Learning Specialization.

“Artificial intelligence plays a critical role in driving innovation, competitiveness, and market growth for organizations across the region,” said Jonathan Ty, chief commercial officer of Kollab. “Our acquisition of Senti AI will enhance our ability to help customers adopt and scale AI initiatives more securely, efficiently, and responsibly.”

Kollab plans to integrate Senti AI’s expertise into its new “AI and Data Analytics” division. This division will offer solutions like AI Strategy, Document AI, Natural Language Processing engines, and AI governance. These services are designed to tackle common obstacles faced by local businesses, including ethical concerns, talent shortages, and integration difficulties.

“With this acquisition, we are taking a significant step forward in spreading the word about AI and its benefits to Philippine enterprises,” said Ralph Vincent Regalado, CEO of Senti AI. “We look forward to working closely with Kollab and reaching out to more clients with their help.”

Regalado will be the chief scientist and head of AI at Kollab.

Kollab aims to assist industries such as finance, healthcare, retail, and education in their digital transformation efforts. The company plans to focus on training, privacy, and customized AI solutions to help Filipino businesses adapt to new technologies effectively.
