ZTE Corp., a global provider of information and communication technology solutions, has been awarded the Gold Medal in the EcoVadis 2024 Sustainability Performance Overview. This recognition places ZTE among the top 4% of companies globally evaluated by EcoVadis in the past year.
EcoVadis evaluates companies on environmental impact, labor and human rights, sustainable procurement, and ethics. ZTE ranked in the top 7% for environmental efforts, focusing on reducing its ecological footprint. The company also placed in the top 3% for labor and human rights, ethical practices, and responsible sourcing, highlighting its dedication to fair labor policies and transparency.
To mark the achievement, EcoVadis will plant a tree on ZTE’s behalf in partnership with One Tree Planted.
ZTE’s sustainability milestones include being the first large-scale ICT company in China to secure dual target approvals from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). ZTE has been listed on the FTSE4Good Index Series for nine years and the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series for 13 years.
ZTE has also published annual sustainability reports since 2009 and is a member of the United Nations Global Compact and the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative.
