Kwik.insure offers Starr Insurance policies in its platform to reach more Filipinos abroad

Online insurance marketplace Kwik.insure teams up with Starr Insurance Philippines with the hope of reaching more Filipinos overseas and encourage them to secure the type of insurance they need.

“Since we launched the Kwik.insure platform in March, we saw that there is significant traffic coming from Filipinos abroad,” said Hamilton Angluben, founder and CEO, Kwik.insure. “Recognizing the demand from our modern-day heroes, we partnered with Starr Insurance Philippines to further democratize the access to insurance, especially for our OFWs,” Kwik.insure Founder and CEO said.

According to Kwik.insure, typically, OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) need to come home to the Philippines before they can avail themselves of insurance policies. But the partnership with Starr Insurance Philippines will enable them to log in to the Kwik.insure platform, browse through insurance products of Starr Insurance Philippines — health, accident, COVID-19, and even vehicle insurance policies — and purchase according to their needs.

Payments can be made through debit and credit cards, e-wallets, and other payment channels that apply abroad.

“With the support of Kwik.insure, we are heading in the right direction by simplifying the purchase journey for clients online which is a valuable step in bridging the insurance gap among Filipinos both here and abroad,” said Derick Narvacan, country manager of Starr Insurance Philippines.

Among the insurance policies Filipinos abroad can avail are the Starr Hospital Protect, which provides a daily hospital income should the OFW or their loved one be hospitalized as a result of suffering from a sickness or an accident, and Starr Critical Protect, which provides a lump sum cash benefit upon diagnosis of any of the 51 Critical Illnesses listed in the website.

Customers can either purchase on the platform instantly or request a free insurance quote.
