Lenovo and Formula 1 have extended their partnership, with Lenovo elevated to a Global Partner status in a new multi-year deal beginning in 2025. Motorola, a Lenovo subsidiary, will become the Global Smartphone Partner of F1.
Under this renewed agreement, Lenovo will supply F1 with advanced technology devices and services to support race operations, both on-site and remotely. Lenovo will also serve as the title sponsor for two Grand Prix races per season, while both Lenovo and Motorola will increase their branding presence at events.
According to Yang Yuanqing, CEO of Lenovo, the collaboration aims to integrate cutting-edge technology with the sport to enhance the fan experience.
Lenovo has been a key technology partner for Formula 1 since 2022, providing high-performance computing solutions and devices that have enabled F1 to deliver top-tier broadcasts to millions of fans globally. The company’s Asset Recovery Service also plays a role in F1’s sustainability efforts, ensuring that retired computing hardware is disposed of responsibly.
“I look forward to continuing our work with Lenovo and using our shared commitment to precision, innovation, and sustainability to ensure F1 remains the world’s most technologically advanced sport for years to come,” said Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1.
Through collaboration, F1 and Lenovo aim to enhance operational efficiency and bring further technological advancements to the sport. The renewed partnership promises to deliver new experiences for fans while promoting sustainability within motorsport.
