LG Electronics launched its latest xboom by will.i.am speakers in the Philippines during the Pop Goes Boom event at Xylo at the Palace in Bonifacio Global City. The night combined live performances, product demos, and a K-pop-inspired celebration to showcase the brand’s newest audio innovations.
“Tonight, the bass doesn’t just play, it pops,” said Yongwoo Park, product director for Media Solutions, LG Philippines. “And here at Xylo, everything pop will go boom. Let the sound take over. Performances are just getting started. Let’s go big, let’s go loud, let’s go xboom.”
Mildred Bugay, product manager for Audio, LG Philippines, said the 2025 lineup was “meticulously tuned” by will.i.am, who serves as LG xboom’s Experiential Architect. “His innovative blend of cutting-edge technology and vibrant pop culture elevates the entire audio journey,” she said.
The lineup includes the Stage 301, Bounce, Grab, and Buds models. Stage 301 offers room-filling sound with a 6.5-inch woofer, dual midrange drivers, and karaoke mic controls. The compact Bounce delivers strong bass through dual passive radiators and twin dome tweeters. Grab features a portable, tube-shaped design with a 16mm tweeter for crisp sound, while Buds provide detailed audio with graphene-coated drivers, advanced noise cancellation, and three microphones. The speakers also support Auracast, enabling multiple xboom AI devices to connect for a larger soundstage. Other models, including the XBOOM XL Series, XBOOM Go, and XBOOM RN Series, were also displayed.

The launch doubled as a K-pop dance showcase, hosted by Candy Gamos. The Philippine KPOP Convention Inc. introduced groups DazZ Official, Excrementum, Kairos, Principtium, and Psycho, each bringing unique choreography and style. Principtium won first place for their sharp, high-energy performance, followed by Kairos and Psycho in second and third. All teams received LG xboom Bounce units as prizes.
Audience members joined in a dance challenge to “Gnarly” by KATSEYE, with winners chosen based on crowd cheers. They also took home LG xboom by will.i.am products.
Live performances capped the evening. NEW\:ID performed tracks including “Ghost,” “Killing It Girl,” and “Deja Vu,” telling the audience, “As performers, sound is everything… and what better speaker to bring that to life than the LG xboom AI? It’s loud, powerful, and every beat just hits hard.”

Zephanie, Idol Philippines 2019 Grand Champion, delivered renditions of “Problem” and “Bang Bang,” with vocals enhanced by the xboom AI’s sound tuning. “On stage or in my daily routine, LG is always by my side,” she said. “It really helps to have a speaker you can rely on.”
The event closed with DJ Dara’s K-pop and dance music set, with appearances from Sandra Jung, Kristy Cho, Mika Reyes, and Bianca Yao with the Gamers’ Run Club adding to the night’s energy.
With the new xboom by will.i.am lineup, LG aims to merge AI-driven sound technology with creative design to give users a richer, more immersive listening experience.
