Fintech firm Maya received two honors at the 2025 PR Awards Asia-Pacific, taking gold for PR Event and silver for Best Brand Strategy for its “Get Banked with Maya” campaign. The recognition highlights the company’s approach to making banking more digital, inclusive, and culturally relevant.

The Maya campaign aimed to reach unbanked and underserved Filipinos by promoting financial empowerment.

“Great marketing begins with a great product, and at Maya, we build both with purpose,” said Pepe Torres, chief marketing officer of Maya Group. “We tell our story with the boldness and heart of a brand that listens, making digital banking feel relevant, inclusive, and delightful.”

Maya has been creating campaigns that connect with younger, digitally savvy audiences. Its initiatives include “My Money, My Bank, My Way” with Liza Soberano and “Get Banked with Maya” featuring both Soberano and Dolly de Leon. The company described its latest campaign as a shift toward building meaningful experiences and helping Filipinos develop better money habits through its app and marketing.

This is Maya’s third straight year of recognition at the PR Awards Asia-Pacific, after wins for its PayMaya-to-Maya rebrand in 2022 and “My Money, My Bank, My Way” in 2023. The awards, organized by Campaign Asia, honor creative and effective public relations campaigns across the region.
