Carl Raymond Cruz officially began his role as Globe’s new president and CEO, sharing the company’s strategic plans with a focus on purpose and putting customers first.
At the “Go Forward Together” media event, Cruz presented Globe’s direction, which highlights innovation, digital inclusion, and customer-centered solutions to help improve lives and support national growth.
“We are focused on inclusive growth by widening access to technology and financial tools that make everyday life better,” said Cruz. “Our ambition is to be the largest, most profitable, most admired, and highly engaged telecom company in the country. Backed by purpose, technology, and people, we are building a progressive and inclusive digital nation.”
Building on dual strengths
Cruz pointed to Globe’s strong foundation, powered by its mobile and fiber services alongside GCash, a mobile wallet that helps Filipinos access e-commerce, payments, lending, insurance, and investments. Today, GCash reaches 8 out of 10 Filipinos and supports more than 6 million merchants and online sellers.
This dual strength supports Cruz’s vision of making digital services more available to everyone, including individuals and small businesses.
Using AI to improve services
Globe is enhancing its customer service by using an AI-enhanced relationship manager, which helps deliver real-time insights, faster support, and better recommendations based on customer needs. The company also uses AI to predict when network maintenance is needed, helping improve reliability and service quality.
Commitment to responsible business
Globe continues to focus on responsible business practices. It has maintained an “AA” rating from MSCI for two years in a row and received the Five Golden Arrow Award from the Institute of Corporate Directors for three straight years. The company also earned recognition for its programs that promote employee well-being.
Under Cruz’s leadership, Globe aims to achieve sustainable growth while helping expand digital and financial access across the country.
