NTT Data Payment Services introduced Adaptis, its suite of integrated payment solutions, at an event in Manila as part of its regional expansion in Southeast Asia. The launch follows earlier rollouts in Malaysia and Thailand.

“The Philippines is one of the most dynamic and fast-growing digital economies in Southeast Asia,” said Shinichiro Nishikawa, head of Global Payments and Services Division of NTT Data Japan. “With Adaptis, we are combining local insights with the global standards and innovation that NTT Data is known for. This isn’t just a rebrand, it’s a reimagining of how payments can better serve banks, merchants, partners, and consumers across the country.”

The event, held under the theme “NEXT in Commerce,” gathered executives from NTT Data Japan and NTT Data Payment Services, along with local regulators, partners, and merchants.

The Adaptis platform includes five main services: Adaptis In-Store for retail transactions, Adaptis e-Commerce for online payments, Adaptis Financing to support business growth, Adaptis Enterprise for payment infrastructure, and Adaptis Value-Added Services to improve operations.

“When we created Adaptis, we envisioned a brand that is agile, inclusive, and built for the merchants of tomorrow,” said Sean Hesh, group CEO of NTT Data Payment Services. “Adaptis integrates our in-store, online, enterprise, and financing solutions into one powerful ecosystem, designed to grow with businesses, from sari-sari stores to large enterprises. In a digital economy like the Philippines, adaptability isn’t optional. It’s essential.”

“Whether you’re a small business in a wet market or a fast-growing online brand, our solutions are built to grow with you,” said Jay Tirona, CEO of NTT Data Payment Services Philippines. “Every Filipino deserves progress, and we’re proud to be part of that journey.”

The launch comes after NTT Data Japan’s acquisition of GHL Systems Berhad in 2024. The company rebranded to NTT Data Payment Services in November 2024, strengthening its position as a regional digital payments provider.
