AI company OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Go in the Philippines, a new subscription plan that gives users wider access to the company’s advanced AI tools for ₱300 per month.
The plan aims to make artificial intelligence (AI) more accessible to Filipinos who use ChatGPT for studying, writing, and problem-solving. The Philippines is among the top 5 Asian countries in weekly active ChatGPT users, showing strong local interest in AI for everyday needs.
ChatGPT Go offers several upgrades from the free version, including higher message limits, image generation, file uploads, and memory for more personalized conversations. The plan is powered by GPT-5, OpenAI’s most advanced AI model.
“Millions of people across the Philippines are turning to ChatGPT to support their learning, creativity, and everyday problem-solving,” said Nick Turley, VP and head of ChatGPT at OpenAI. “With ChatGPT Go, we want to make cutting-edge AI easily accessible and affordable so everyone can benefit from it.”
Compared to the free plan, ChatGPT Go provides 10 times more message and image limits per day, along with twice the memory capacity. These improvements are meant to help users who rely on ChatGPT for tutoring, editing, creative projects, and learning new skills.
ChatGPT Go joins OpenAI’s existing paid options: ChatGPT Plus, which offers faster responses and priority access for ₱1,100 per month, and ChatGPT Pro, a professional-grade plan priced at ₱9,990 per month that includes enterprise-level tools and customization options.
The Go plan first rolled out in India, where OpenAI said paid subscriptions doubled within a month. Following the positive response, the company expanded the service to 16 countries in Asia, including the Philippines.
Users can sign up for ChatGPT Go through the ChatGPT website or mobile app by selecting the Go plan and paying through in-app or web-based payment options. The subscription works across web, Android, and iOS platforms.
OpenAI said it follows the same privacy and safety standards for ChatGPT Go as its other products. Users can manage data settings and choose whether their chats are used to improve OpenAI services.
