Grinding Gear Games has detailed the upcoming “Path of Exile” 3.25 update, “Settlers of Kalguur,” during their livestream event, “GGG Live.”
This July expansion introduces a variety of new content and improvements, including the “Settlers of Kalguur” Challenge League, adjustments to Ascendancy Classes, enhancements to Endgame content, and numerous quality-of-life features for both PC and console players. The update is set to launch on July 27th.
In the new Challenge League, players will assist Kalguuran pioneers in building the town of Kingsmarch and establishing trade routes between Wraeclast and Kalguur. The league emphasizes mining exotic resources, hiring and protecting skilled workers, and constructing and defending the town. Players will also develop a harbor to manage trading, enabling the buying and selling of currency and other items in the Currency Trade Market, and crafting powerful weapons and items on the Runesmithing Table.
The update brings changes to Ascendancy classes, introducing the new Warden class and reworking the Gladiator. The Warden, replacing the Raider, focuses on elemental attacks, damage mitigation, and specializes in Tinctures. The Gladiator retains its prowess in Bleeding and Block, while gaining new Retaliation Skills that unleash significant damage under specific combat conditions.

Improved performance on PS5 and Xbox
Balance changes in “Settlers of Kalguur” include significant adjustments to Melee Skills, Block, Rage, Warcries, Banners, Bleed, and Impale. Endgame content will see new Base Types, enhanced Modifiers on Endgame Items, improved Critical Strike Chances on Weapons, changes to Scarabs, a 6th Map Device Slot, and new encounters in high-tier Maps. Also, the drop rate of Valdo’s Puzzle Boxes will increase.
Console players will benefit from improved performance on PS5 and Xbox Series hardware, including reduced load times, enhanced textures, and better visual fidelity due to a new upscaling algorithm and additional anti-aliasing.
Grinding Gear Games also announced an upcoming Closed Beta Test for Path of Exile 2. Players interested in participating can sign up here.
