PayMaya ‘Add Money’ now available via BPI online, mobile app for free

Depositors of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) may now instantly Add Money to their PayMaya accounts using the online and mobile banking facility of the bank.

This further extends the reach of PayMaya, the digital financial services arm of Voyager Innovations, to more online and on-premise Add Money channels nationwide, which now counts more than 40,000 touchpoints all across the country, including through more than 30 local banks via Instapay, payment kiosks, business centers in malls, convenience centers, and Smart Padala centers, among many others.

To encourage more Filipinos to utilize this channel for adding money to their accounts, PayMaya is making transfers via BPI free of charge until further notice. This is in support of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ goal of transforming 20% of transactions in the country to digital by 2020.

“This makes adding money to your PayMaya account not just more convenient but also accessible to most BPI account holders because it’s free. With BPI having one of the country’s largest user base, more Filipinos will be able to gain access to the digital economy through this partnership,” said Kenneth Palacios, director and head, Wallets Business at PayMaya.
