PLDT Home is waiving installation fees and increasing internet speeds as more Filipinos shift to work-from-home (WFH) setups amid rising fuel costs and inflation.
The company said new subscribers to its Fiber Plan 1299 and above will get speeds up to twice as fast for six months, along with free installation worth ₱3,600. It hopes to assist workers and households looking to reduce commuting expenses and stay productive at home.
“Filipinos are among the most resilient people in the world, and we want to make it easier for them to navigate today’s challenges, especially amid ongoing global uncertainties. This is why we continue to enhance our fiber products and services to better support the daily digital needs of the Filipino workforce,” said Menardo “Butch” Jimenez Jr., chief operating officer and chief technology officer of PLDT.
Subscribers switching to PLDT Home will also receive a free Always On modem for six months. The hybrid fiber-LTE device automatically switches to a wireless LTE connection during outages, helping remote workers maintain stable internet during critical tasks such as video calls and cloud-based work.
PLDT Home said the offer aligns with its efforts to support flexible work arrangements, which are gaining traction as transportation costs continue to rise. Reliable home internet has become essential for employees, freelancers, and small businesses that rely on digital tools for daily operations.
“Families need a reliable fiber connection to work from home, stay productive, and stay connected to what matters most,” Jimenez said.
Beyond connectivity, the company is bundling added perks, including free unlimited entertainment via Cignal, a one-year IGV Game Pass, and discounts on Samsung home products.
PLDT Home is also expanding its prepaid fiber options for budget-conscious users. New load packages now offer speeds of up to 100 Mbps and 300 Mbps, with flexible durations ranging from one day to 365 days. The company said its lowest long-term option costs about ₱19.17 per day for a 365-day plan with speeds of up to 50 Mbps.
As more Filipinos adapt to hybrid and remote work, PLDT Home is hoping that its fiber services serve as a cost-saving alternative to daily commuting, while supporting productivity through faster and more reliable internet at home.
