PLDT Inc. and its wireless arm Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) hope to work with the Department of National Defense (DND) to bolster the country’s cyber defense or cybersecurity.
“The PLDT Group is no longer just focused on securing our own network and systems infrastructure,” Angel Redoble, chief information security officer, PLDT, said during a courtesy with Defense Undersecretary Ignacio Madriaga at Camp Aguinaldo. “We are extending our capability to our community, down to the home and individual subscriber level.”
Redoble noted that PLDT is ready to work hand in hand with the government to address the increasing cybersecurity threats in the country.
