PLDT Enterprise and TikTok Shop Philippines joined forces during Tech Week PH in Davao City to help small businesses in Mindanao use digital tools to grow and reach more customers.

The event focused on giving micro-, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) practical advice on using technology and online platforms, especially TikTok Shop, to expand their market, improve sales, and stay competitive in a fast-changing digital world.

“Our mission is to empower MSMEs in every corner of the country, and we are proud to support platforms and initiatives that foster innovation and digital inclusion,” said Mitch Locsin, first vice president and head of Enterprise Core Business at PLDT and Smart. “Mindanao’s entrepreneurial spirit is thriving, and by embracing digital tools, local businesses can unlock immense potential for growth and sustainability.”

“Tiktok Shop can help Davaoeño MSMEs grow by increasing their visibility online, connecting them with new customers across the country, and driving organic growth through genuine engagement,” said Franco Aligaen, marketing lead for TikTok Shop Philippines.

Aligaen shared a guide on how to set up an online store, along with tips for creating content that attracts customers. He also discussed how to optimize TikTok Shop’s algorithm to improve visibility on the platform.

Participants gained insights into how e-commerce can strengthen business performance. Speakers emphasized the importance of having a strong digital presence and connecting with customers in authentic ways.

PLDT Enterprise said that events like Tech Week PH are part of its goal to support local businesses through digital transformation and help them remain competitive in a fast-changing market.
