Smartphone brand realme has given an early look at the realme 16 Series 5G, highlighting a 200MP camera system, new design materials, and upgraded portrait features ahead of its Philippine launch on April 23.
The lineup includes the realme 16 Pro+ 5G, realme 16 Pro 5G, and the base realme 16 5G, each targeting users searching for high-resolution smartphone cameras, portrait photography, and stylish design.
The highlight is the upgrade to the 200MP Multi-focal Camera system on the Pro models. The realme 16 Pro+ 5G pairs its 200MP OIS main camera with a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP front camera. This setup allows users to shoot detailed portraits, zoom shots, group photos, and selfies using a single device.
The company said the series also introduces the first TÜV Rheinland-certified LumaColor Image Camera, designed to improve color accuracy, balance lighting between subject and background, and produce natural-looking skin tones.
The realme 16 Pro 5G keeps the 200MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the base realme 16 5G uses a 50MP Sony IMX852 main sensor and a 50MP front camera for everyday photography.

realme worked with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa on what it calls an “Urban Wild Design,” blending nature-inspired textures with a modern look.
The realme 16 Pro+ 5G comes in Master Gold with a bio-based silicone back made from plant-based straw, aimed at improving durability and grip. The Pro model is available in Pebble Grey and Orchid Purple, while the base variant adopts a simpler “Air” design in White and Black with a horizontal camera layout.
The realme 16 Series 5G will officially launch in the Philippines on April 23 at 5:30 p.m. via a livestream on realme’s Facebook page.
