According to The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), registered SIM cards are now at over 23 million as of Jan. 20, 2023.
The numbers may have increased as of this writing as Smart Communications just reported that as of Jan. 21, some 11,356,959 Smart Prepaid, Smart Bro, and TNTph subscribers; and 810,261 Postpaid users, or a total of 12.16 million subscribers had registered their SIMs on the Smart network.
Globe Telecom Inc. recorded 9,669,285 registered subscribers and DITO Telecommunity Corp. reported a total of 1,906,089 SIMs registered Jan. 20 numbers.

Smart sets up booths for SIM registration
SIM registration booths that were set up during the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City helped in increasing the number of registered subscribers. The booths were set up in strategic areas in Iloilo City as well as at the Iloilo International Airport.
“Our PTEs (public telecommunication entities) have already developed their respective execution plans to reinforce and to promote public awareness and provide assistance to the public on the registration of their SIM cards, including during major festivities in the provinces,” said DICT Spokesperson and Undersecretary Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo.
The DICT reminds the public to be vigilant as they complete the registration process. Register only through the official links of PTEs:
