Renewing Compulsory Third-Party Liability (CTPL) insurance is an important step for vehicle owners in the Philippines, as it is required by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for registration. This insurance provides protection for third parties in case of road accidents, which have been increasing in Metro Manila.

According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), there were more than 62,000 recorded crashes from January to November 2024, resulting in 332 fatalities.

To help vehicle owners renew their CTPL insurance more easily, MPT Mobility offers a digital solution through the MPT DriveHub app. The app allows users to complete the renewal process at any time, avoiding long lines and paperwork.

To renew CTPL insurance using MPT DriveHub, users can follow a few simple steps. They need to tap on the “Insurance” icon on the app’s dashboard, select their vehicle, enter their details, choose a payment method, and complete the transaction. The insurance policy documents are then sent via email and can also be accessed within the app. Users with multiple vehicles can purchase additional CTPL policies under the same account.

The service is backed by M Pioneer Insurance, ensuring compliance with LTO regulations. Policies are authenticated through the Certificate of Cover Authentication Facility (COCAF), verifying their legitimacy and proper tax remittance.

MPT DriveHub also offers other vehicle-related services, including Easytrip RFID reloading and balance checks.
