Rocket Software, a global company specializing in modernization software, recently finalized the acquisition of OpenText’s Application Modernization and Connectivity (AMC) business, formerly under Micro Focus, in a deal worth $2.275 billion.

The acquisition amplifies Rocket Software’s revenue by over 60% and broadens its client based to include more than 12,500 companies worldwide, along with a network exceeding 750 partners. This move also ushers in over 770 new software engineers, go-to-market professionals, and other team members, with plans to hire hundreds more to reinforce its existing workforce.

“The acquisition of the OpenText AMC business is a significant milestone that sets a similar new standard for modernization innovation and excellence at Rocket Software and greatly accelerates our strategic growth and market penetration,” said Milan Shetti, president and CEO of Rocket Software.

Rocket Software’s expanded offerings now include leading technology for mainframe modernization, comprehensive solutions adaptable to any stage of modernization, and a commitment to leveraging existing investments for a seamless technological transition. With a customer satisfaction rate of 93.7%, the company aims to serve as a trusted partner rather than merely a vendor.

Latest additions include Host Connectivity, Application Development, CORBA solutions, and market-leading technologies like COBOL and Enterprise Suite, facilitating the execution of COBOL and PL/I applications on distributed or cloud servers.
