SailPoint Inc., an enterprise identity security company, has introduced SailPoint Agentic Fabric, a new platform designed to secure AI agents and other non-human identities as their use rapidly expands across enterprise systems.

The rollout comes as companies increasingly deploy autonomous AI agents across cloud platforms, applications, and endpoints. These agents can perform tasks at machine speed, but often operate without clear ownership, consistent governance, or centralized oversight. This creates a security gap as organizations struggle to track who or what is accessing critical systems.

SailPoint said its Identity Security Cloud already helps organizations manage human identities. Agentic Fabric extends that capability to AI agents and machine identities, combining discovery, visibility, governance, authorization, and protection in one system. The goal is to give enterprises a single view of every identity, human or machine, interacting with corporate data.

“AI agents are transforming how work gets done, but they’re also introducing a new class of identity risk that most organizations aren’t prepared for,” said Matt Mills, president at SailPoint. “You cannot secure what you cannot see, or what you cannot tie back to accountability. Agentic Fabric gives organizations the visibility, control, and context to keep autonomous agents secure, accountable, and connected to a human owner.”

SailPoint said the platform is built around identity relationships, linking every AI agent to human owners, systems, and data access patterns. It is designed to help enterprises reduce blind spots as AI adoption accelerates.

The system provides three core functions. Discovery builds an inventory of AI agents, machine identities, and applications across cloud environments and endpoints, mapped through an identity graph. Governance assigns human ownership and applies lifecycle controls and access policies. Protection enforces real-time authorization controls, threat detection, and automated response to maintain least-privilege access.

“With Agentic Fabric, SailPoint is moving aggressively to secure one of the biggest emerging risks in enterprise AI: the rapid growth of AI agents and other non-human identities,” said Chandra Gnanasambadam, EVP of Product and chief technology officer at SailPoint. “Organizations need to govern human, machine, and AI identities together. Agentic Fabric is a major step forward in helping customers secure the AI era.”
