Salesforce has appointed Paul Carvouni as senior vice president and general manager for ASEAN.
Carvouni will lead Salesforce’s growth strategy in the region and oversee sales and operations. He will also focus on helping companies in ASEAN use artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as agentic AI, in their daily business processes.
Carvouni has more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector. He previously held senior roles at Microsoft and Riverbed Technology, working across Asia Pacific and ASEAN. His background includes building regional teams and managing large-scale business operations.
“ASEAN is a vibrant and strategically vital region for us. We are in the midst of an agentic AI revolution that can accelerate the region’s economic growth,” said Arun Kumar Parmeswaran, EVP and managing director for South Asia of Salesforce. “Paul has the industry experience needed to guide customers as they use agentic AI in their businesses. We are confident in his ability to lead our ASEAN team and support customers as they adapt to these changes.”
“I am excited to lead Salesforce’s work in the ASEAN region. The AI revolution creates opportunities across countries, industries, and business sizes, from small and medium businesses to large enterprises and public sector organizations,” said Carvouni. “The goal is to help customers use AI to improve productivity and decision-making. I look forward to working with our teams and partners to deliver trusted AI, data, and customer relationship management tools across the region.”
Salesforce said AI could contribute up to $1 trillion to ASEAN’s economy by 2030. The company aims to help organizations adopt AI by bringing people, software agents, applications, and data together on a single platform.
Carvouni’s appointment comes as Salesforce expands its presence in Southeast Asia. The company opened a new office in the Philippines in October 2025, adding to its existing offices in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.
