Samsung Electronics has launched the latest Galaxy A16 5G and LTE smartphones in the Philippines, with upgraded screens and security in its affordable A series lineup. The Galaxy A16 series, available in two variants, brings a fresh design, upgraded display, and improved durability for daily use.
Both Galaxy A16 models showcase a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, an upgrade from the previous generation’s 6.5-inch screen. This larger, high-resolution display aims to enhance the user experience for activities like video streaming, gaming, and browsing.
The Galaxy A16’s design follows Samsung’s signature Galaxy aesthetic, with rounded corners and a streamlined look. The 5G model is available in Blue Black and Gold, while the LTE variant comes in Black, Grey, and an online-exclusive Light Green.
Samsung has built the Galaxy A16 series for enhanced usability and durability. Both models hold an IP54 rating, meaning they are resistant to dust and water splashes. They also feature Samsung Knox Vault, providing added protection for sensitive data against external threats.
The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, along with 5MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lenses, delivering versatility for various photography needs. A 13MP front camera is also available for high-quality selfies.
The Galaxy A16 5G is equipped with an octa-core processor, supporting smooth multitasking, while both models feature a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging to keep users connected throughout the day.
Priced at P9,990 for the LTE version and P13,990 for the 5G model, the Galaxy A16 will be available in the Philippines starting Nov. 13 for 5G and Dec. 4 for LTE.
