Samsung Electronics has released two new models in its Galaxy A Series: the Galaxy A17, available in 5G and LTE versions, and the Galaxy A07 LTE. Both devices are positioned as affordable smartphones with AI-powered tools, durability upgrades, and added security features.
The Galaxy A17 and A07 feature lighter and slimmer bodies compared to earlier models. The A17 measures 7.5mm thick, while the A07 is slightly thicker at 7.6mm. The A17 comes in at around 190 grams depending on the variant, while the A07 weighs 184 grams. Both are built with glass fiber reinforced polymer for the back cover and have IP54 dust and water resistance. The A17 also uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on its front panel for extra protection.
Samsung added functions that bring select tools from its premium Galaxy S Series to the A17. These include Gemini activation and Gemini Live for voice-activated, hands-free use across apps like Spotify, Google, and Samsung services. The device also features Circle to Search with Google, which lets users find information on screen or identify music playing nearby.
For photography, the Galaxy A17 comes with a triple camera setup, including a 50MP wide, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP sensor. Optical image stabilization helps reduce blurriness in low-light shots.
Both models are equipped with 90Hz refresh rates and upgraded processors for smoother gaming, streaming, and multitasking. The A17 has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Battery life is supported by 25W fast charging.
Samsung said the Galaxy A17 and A07 will receive six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The devices also include Samsung Knox Vault, which keeps sensitive data in a protected hardware space. Anti-theft features allow remote locking and biometric verification to prevent unauthorized use. Auto Blocker is also enabled to stop apps from unknown sources and malicious activity.

The Galaxy A17 5G starts at ₱9,290, while the Galaxy A07 LTE starts at ₱5,290. The A17 comes in Black, Gray, and an online-exclusive Blue for the 5G model, as well as Black, Silver, and Light Blue for the LTE version. The A07 LTE is offered in Light Violet and Black.
The Galaxy A17 5G and A07 LTE are now available through Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung.com, the Samsung Mobile Shop App, and Samsung’s official stores on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok. The A17 LTE will be released on September 26.
Promotions are available until Nov. 30, including discounts on Galaxy Buds Core and Galaxy Fit3, a free travel adapter with the A17, and 0% installment options.
